I have been working with the talented author Jamie Smith to support his upcoming release of his upcoming book 'Where Giants Walk'. I created a mysterious cover with bold typography, conveying the feel of the setting as a large giant looms upon a sleepy town.

COVER ILLUSTRATIONS
A careful balance of cartoonish and moody, working with silhouettes with subtle details to reveal depth and character. The giant looms over the village with a distinctive ragged silhouette as it ponders its next move.
MAP ILLUSTRATION
As the author described his new world, I sketched the feel of the land until we could see it becoming a real place, charting the books events we defined locations until we could see a cohesion in the landscape. The land itself is reminiscent of the middle ages with a grounded fantasy feel. I channelled a calligraphic style reminiscent of Middle Earth, while forging an identity unique to the world of fantasy.
Note: This project was designed professionally for Jamie Smith, all proceeds were donated to the charity Sobell House Hospice.
